Hello, hello!
If you were on my IG @theittybittybeauty, you might have seen my journey with beauty and not much to do with health. I was with an accountability group in 2019 💪🏼 but then I had to stop, due to a knee injury. So my IG had changed to just beauty because let's face it, life happens and we have to find something to be tickled pick about, right?
To be completely honest, working out in the gym had never been something I enjoyed in the past. I always felt uncomfortable exercising in front of a bunch of strangers, and I never really knew how to properly use the equipment.🤔 I have, however, been very comfortable working out in the comfort of my own home.
A little history:
In January 2018, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and found out my blood work was a hot mess. I was 1 point away from being pre-diabetic, cholesterol was slightly elevated and my triglycerides were high. My doctor told me to start eating a ketogenic lifestyle and start walking. I then started searching the internet for plans to get in shape. I found a bodybuilder I liked and bought his program. After a few months on this new eating plan and exercising, I lost 25 lbs and was on my way to be in the best shape of my life!🏃🏻♀️ I was then injured after trying to go to the gym and move some heavier weights that someone didn't rack back. (Remember to do this if you go to the gym...re-rack your weights for others.)
So, I was out of commission for 6 months with a SI Joint injury. Then in September 2018 I found Beachbody and I decided to try a program called Liift 4. I bought the Liift 4 program and the Shakeology pack but the exercising had to go slower for me because of my injury. Then I decided to try Morning Meltdown 100 because I was getting stronger.
November 5, 2019 I finished my first round of 100 days and started my second round. That's when I got scheduled for knee surgery. Which put me out again. This time the pandemic happened. No going to a gym with my husband. I started gaining weight and my Dr said get a Peloton. I asked for a prescription, hahaha. She gave me one. I called my insurance and they actually checked if that would be covered. SHOCKED! But of course, it wasn't. So on my 50th birthday my hubby surprised me with one. Then my Dad and Step-Mom passed 6 months later and I went downhill from there. BUT my dr did my bloodwork and to our surprise all my levels were good! I even had good thyroid levels which meant no more medicine! So, that gave me hope.
